How much is a WAEC scratch card?
A WAEC result checker PIN costs ₦5,140 to ₦6,500 from online vendors, as of 30 August 2026. We sell it for ₦5,400, delivered in seconds. If you sat the 2026 WASSCE, WAEC lets you retrieve your own PIN free on serial-pin.waec.org with your exam number and NIN. One PIN checks one candidate's result up to five times.

Why buy from a vendor at all?
WAEC does not run a public store for the checker PIN. Its free retrieval portal serves the registered candidate only, and it needs the exam number, the candidate's NIN and the phone or email used at registration. Vendors cover everyone that leaves out: GCE and private candidates, older results, parents and schools checking on a candidate's behalf, and candidates who cannot pass the NIN check. The PIN and serial number a vendor sells work the same on waecdirect.org.
Three ways people overpay
- Buying a verification PIN by mistake. It costs ₦5,600 and shows no grades. If you want to see a result, buy the checker PIN.
- Buying one PIN per check. One PIN checks the same result five times. You do not need a second PIN to re-print a slip.
- Street resellers during result week. Prices above ₦6,000 are opportunistic. The online range is public — it is in the table above.

The WAEC scratch card page takes card or bank transfer and shows the PIN on screen the moment payment clears, with a copy sent to your email. If a school or employer asked you to prove a result instead, you need the verification PIN.
